These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") explain the rules for using the CITEA website and services, including donations, volunteer signup and online content. By accessing or using this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

These Terms apply to anyone who visits or uses citeaimpact.com, makes a donation, volunteers, or interacts with CITEA online. "We", "us" or "CITEA" refers to Community Innovation, Technology and Education Advancement. Additional agreements may apply to particular activities (for example, volunteer waivers or partnership contracts), but all users must at least follow these Terms.

You may use the site and its content only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with these Terms. You must not post or transmit abusive, defamatory or illegal material; interfere with the site's operation (for example by hacking or overloading the server); engage in harassment or hate speech; upload viruses or malicious code; or scrape or replicate content without permission. We may remove any content or suspend users who break these rules. Volunteers and partners represent CITEA's values — we expect professionalism and respect in all communications.

All content on this site is owned or licensed by CITEA and protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print materials for personal, educational use only. You may not modify, copy, distribute, create derivative works from, publicly display or exploit any part of the site without our written permission. For permission requests, contact hello@citeaimpact.com. When sharing CITEA content, please credit CITEA appropriately.

By making a donation through this site (including any recurring donation), you agree that your contribution is voluntary. All payments are processed through a secure third-party payment service and are subject to our Refund Policy and the terms of that payment provider. Except as expressly stated in our Refund Policy, all donations are final and non-refundable. We issue official receipts for donations, but CITEA does not guarantee any personal tax-deductible benefit — donations may or may not be tax-deductible under Nigerian law, depending on CITEA's registered status. You agree not to dispute valid charges after the refund window expires.

If you volunteer with or partner with CITEA, you do so at your own risk. CITEA does not employ volunteers — no salary, benefits or employment contract is implied. Volunteers and partners must follow all safety guidelines and instructions. CITEA is not liable for injury or loss incurred during volunteer activities, except in cases of proven negligence by CITEA. Volunteers are expected to act ethically and respectfully; failure to do so may end your participation.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site, or block any user, without notice, for any reason — including a violation of these Terms or applicable law. You may stop using the site at any time. Sections that should reasonably survive termination (such as Intellectual Property and Limitation of Liability) remain in effect.

Our site may contain links to third-party websites. Those links are provided for convenience; we do not control or endorse the content of other sites. You access any linked site at your own risk.

CITEA provides the site and content "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee the site will be error-free, uninterrupted or secure, and we do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information. While we work to keep the site updated, we disclaim responsibility for outdated or incorrect content. You use the site at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CITEA and our officers, staff and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any content, including loss of data, business, revenue or goodwill. CITEA's liability to you for any reason will be limited to the greater of (a) the value of donations you have made to CITEA, or (b) ₦10,000. Where a jurisdiction does not allow certain exclusions, those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Even if you live elsewhere, any dispute relating to these Terms or the site must be resolved under Nigerian law. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions still apply.

These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy by reference. By using this site, you also agree to those policies. Links to both are provided at the bottom of every page.
